We are often asked whether we can ship a boat, a car, a drill rig, a large piece of expensive artwork or sculpture, a rocking chair or rocking horse, dresser, cedar chest, tool chest, chest of drawers . . . the answer almost always is “Yes, we can ship that.” But sometimes, we recommend against shipping an item – such as a flat-screen TV. The reason is that flat-screen TVs are extremely fragile, and the cost of packing and shipping one is the same or more than the cost of buying a new one. On the other hand, if you want to ship that flat-screen TV, we can do the job – and get it there in one piece, so you can watch your favorite football games or movies.
If you’re wondering about how to pack or what it might cost to ship something, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or email us. We’re happy to offer advice on packing or provide an estimate for packing or shipping an item – and we’ll also advise you on the best way to ship (UPS, Fed Ex, Postal Service, freight, ocean –  you name it!). Or  . . .  we may advise you to sell or donate it locally and buy a new one at the destination.
